Castle
Dunrobin
has been owned by the Sutherland family since
the
13th
century. The castle was built in stages. The
central tower was
built in
the 14th century. In 1845 the whole castle
was
redesigned
by Sir Charles Barry, architect of the Houses
of
Parliament.
