Guthrie Castle sits in Angus, Scotland
near the base of the Highlands. This fairytale,
romantic venue, which is available on an exclusive
basis, is perfect for weddings, house parties or
golfing holidays. Up to 24 people can be
accommodated, whilst parties from 2 -1,000 can be
entertained like royalty. Guthrie has its own
private Chapel, Historic Walled Garden, Loch with
Royal Swans, Private Golf Course, Fully Equipped
Spa/Gym, Falconry, Clay Pigeon Shooting and
Entertainment Centre including snooker and arcade
games. It is furnished to the highest standard with
period furniture, paintings and antiques throughout

* One nights accommodation for up to 12 guests

* Arrival from Noon, departure the following day
by 10:30am.
* Exclusive use of the Guthrie Castle Golf
Course for all guests.

No dancing is allowed in the Castle itself, but
a "Dancing Marquee", with wooden floor and
"starlight ceiling" can be erected which is
directly attached to the Castle by a covered
walkway. This will accomodate the 80 "daytime"
guests and up to 20 additional "evening"
guests.

Package B - more than 80 guests
* If there are more than 80 guests a Marquee
will be required for the Wedding
Breakfast/Reception. There is a minimum 2 night
stay at the Castle for up to 12 guests in 4 double
and 2 twin en-suite bedrooms. This price does not
include the Marquee hire or hire of any ancillary
equipment.
* Exclusive use of the Castle, Chapel, Walled
Garden and Grounds for the Wedding
Breakfast/Reception and Ceremony.
* Arrival from 9:00am the day before the wedding
and departure by 10:30am the day following the
wedding.
* Use of the Guthrie Castle Golf Course for all
guests.

House menus start from £55.00 (in VAT) per
person, this includes all catering, full trained
and uniformed staff, bone china crockery, silver
plated cutlery, white napkins and tablecloths and
Varennes Glassware. Alternative menus - Seasonal
and Scottish are available on request. A wine list
is available. The House Wine is from £14.00
(inc VAT) per bottle. Sparkling Wine from
£20.00 (inc VAT). Champagne is from
£32.00 (inc VAT) per bottle.
Civil ceremonies are only available in the Walled
Garden. Religeous ceremonies can take place in the
Chapel, the Castle, or the Walled Garden.

Guthrie Castle in Angus is now opening to
the public for the first time - and its golf course
is regarded as one of the toughest in Scotland. The
9-hole course has a par of 33 , 2713yds long and is
open for the first time to the public by
reservation only. Guthrie Castle itself has
156 acres of countryside and until this year the
