Law Castle in Ayrshire is for sale at
£350,000 .It is an A-listed tower house at hte

Kilbride and the Isle of Arran . It was built by
Thomas Boyd , the first Earl of Arran for hos wife
princess Mary , eldest daughter of James II of
Scotland .Thomas and his father Lord Kilmnarnock
had to flee Scotland when they were accused of
kidnapping King James III . Mary divorced Thomas
and married Lord Hamilton . Mary died in 1488 . The
castle was abandoned and riuned until it was
restored to its former glory . The great hall used
to serve as a court room in medieval times and a
flagstone in the floor leads to a pit prison. The 4
bedroom castle is now full of mod cons .
